problem finding ad22vf brake pads
I picked up a set of nx2000 calipers from the junk yard, the rotors that were on the car were the 250mm ones (I didn't get the rotors, I bought new 257mm ones) so the pads I picked up with the calipers are messed up
.
I'm having a hard time finding pads for them, I've tried all of the local auto parts stores and the ones they order are not the same or they can't cross reference the numbers. The pads I have are akebono not sure of the makeup, but I really want some ceramic pads
.
Does anyone know where to get some pads for them?
.
I've tried searching through the how-tos and couldn't find anything

Go to rockauto.com. Look for front pads for the Japan built cars. These are the one that fit the AD22VF calipers. All north Americian manufactors use the same FSMI number to identify brake pads. For the AD22VF the number is 549.The US built cars are for the SE-R AD18 calipers and the FSMI number on those is 509.
Right now on rockauto, an example of ceramic pads for the AD22VF: Raybesto PGD549, Bendix 549CQ, and Monroe CX549( Monroe has a rebate thru rockauto).
Metalmasters are manufactored in Australia so they use a different numbering system but, once again, look for Japan built.
If you can't find a pad you like you can also use the 91-92 Eclipse Turbo AWD pads, they fit and the FSMI # for those is 484.

That is some really detailed info, thank you. I used to work for an auto parts warehouse in pennsylvania for 3years and we carried the monroe ceramics (had them on all of my previous cars) but they have since closed their doors in the 4years I've been in florida

Hawk HPS pads. As was mentioned, look under Eclipse to find them. Got mine from Tirerack. If you don't mind dust, go HP+. Great initial bite.

Keep in mind, you may have to grind the ears down a little to get them to slip over the side clips on the caliper....have a dremel handy, makes short work of it.

I mainly want the ceramics because of the low dust, the brakes that are on the car now coat the whole side of the car with dust (no idea what brand or makeup they are)
