I'm pretty sure you'll find Mr. Kojima is in favor of something along the lines of this Flying Miata piece.
Possibly so. However, before you and I start assuming anything about Mr. Kojima's opinion, perhaps we should wait and hope he chimes in.
Further, Superblackz also wants a set of frame rails, and I *believe* he even posted a picture of one for another chassis. I have been searching since my last post, just to find more smart guys to disagree with you.

I would love for Mike to make an appearance here whether he backs me or not.
That would be ideal.

While still not as beneficial as a typical upper or lower strut tower brace, it at least boxes in the center tunnel and provides a bit of help in the area most needed (torsional rigidity).
As I see it the Octotat braces as shown don't have that feature. Even Stephen's sub-frame brace has the center portion boxed in. Again, these aren't nearly as helpful as lower and upper strut tower braces but if you're going to do a lower frame brace it at least needs to tie both sides together across the center tunnel.

these mount at front and rear suspension pickup points as well as along the inboard frame rail. these are completely bolt in, no drilling or welding required.
i will be building in provisions for crossbracing and rollbar mounting pads.
what i have in mind is a do-luck inspired bar across the rear passenger floor tying into the lower seat belt mount and bolting through the floor to a rollbar pad welded to the subframe connectors.
this will form a box with the subframe connectors being the sides, the front subframe being the top and the "do-luck" bar being the bottom.
eventually i will build a middle section if needed, possibly like the miata butterfly bar.
at this point it is more of a design study

I don't know if that answers your questions or not gentlemen.
Further, this is an "interest" thread.
Those current pictures are not the final product, those are a mock-up.

I'd like to hear what forces Chuck of has in mind that these braces help with.
I am sure Chuck will check this thread, even if someone has to PM him....
