well believe me.. your thoughts have been more than highly discussed over at the e46fanatics forum.. you can read more into it there.. there is alot of pros and cons to it... the only con i have is that the 300lb springs that come with the setups are way to soft.. besides that their customer service outways alot of the differenced to me.. about a month ago a buddy of mine lost control of my car and ended up on the sidewalk (it was raining).. which busted out my two front coils.. raceland overnighted me replacements with a paid return label for shipping (who else does that?)..

r/l is suppose to be tuv certified also, many vw guys have more than 10k miles with them without problems.. i personally dont track the e46 its just a daily and they work awesome for that.. its a personal preference i guess.. i just dont see a justification to spend 1k on coils that im not going to use all the benefits from..

these coils also do not have dampning adjuster or anything of the sort like ksports and others do, so im sure not having that makes them cheaper..

back on topic... my b13 is riding on some cheap ebay coil sleeves and kyb gr2's.. sooo i would completely be down for a set of r/l coils for it..

Well its not like this is a F/S thread, and I think it's my responsibility to call out cheap-o knock offs. I think it's everyone's responsibility to not support cheap knock-offs. But until everyone can get over the temptation of selling out for cheap goods, I will be here.

Actually a set of springs (coupled with a cut-off tool, for height adjustability) will probably rival the questionable performance gain for less.

And you'll note that absolutely every rave in that forum, the VW forums, and the Miata forums come from people who either want the slammed look, have never had a suspension, or are used to Eibach Sportlines. And even some of those guys contend it is a crap ride.

Since this is reiterated over and over on every forum, can anybody who thinks this is worth anything give me a specific example of a test that earns the vaulted TÜV certification?? I just see a bunch of people that accept it as truth and stupidly think, "oh, it must be goood."

Here's a sampling of the mind-numbing intelligence of those threads..(and the IQs keep dropping!)
Bimmerforums - The Ultimate BMW Forum - View Single Post - raceland coilovers ?

is there actually someone here who has actually used them and is dissapointed, rather than abunch of ignoramuses flaming people who have tried them or have considered it?

or in other words, stop the flame fest already.

I can understand the argument with a cheap control arm that breaks, etc. but if the strut blows, your car will just bottom out easier. and it ussually is a gradual lose of pressure.

anyone here ever have there struts blow? Yes most of you, I'm sure. its no big deal if taked care of. I've driven on blown struts before for months, with no accident.

If you're wrong, I'm wrong too.

I keep seeing Raceland, Blackworks, K-sports, Megan, etc....

All cheap-o coilovers, all of them probably outsourced to the same factory China.

I'll reserve judgment until these are actually manufactured, but I see no point in them over the other cheapo coilovers. How many cheapo coilovers do we need for our platforms? Seems like all the cheap coilover...ahem...manufacturers (read "rebranders") are trying to out-cheap each other and divide up the tiny little market for this product. What are they each trying to sell for quantity? A 10-man group buy? I suppose that could justify a call to China for a set of the same cheap coilovers in a different colored box and adorned with a different logo on it.

You guys figure it out, and maybe get them (China) to produce a short run. Then let us know how they do, and if they differ markedly from the others. I'll just be here to document the process and results.

Personally, I cannot wait to spend several hundred dollars on some O.E.M. CSK's to pair with my Hyperco Gen II springs.

Holy crap.

From the above link, here's a direct link to the suspension options:

I'm starting a Group Buy.

Is there anyone that can serve as a translator?

Well if they are not trying to make money...for $279 it might actually be worth it to have a slightly better then OEM suspension. Hell, it is cheaper!

Here are the BMW posts worth reading...reviews from people who actually have experience with more than stock:
Bimmerforums - The Ultimate BMW Forum - View Single Post - Raceland- Yes I bought them
Bimmerforums - The Ultimate BMW Forum - View Single Post - Raceland- Yes I bought them

And from the Miata forums, I found a newly coined term for the product category:
Stance Coilovers!

---

Nate..my money is that they are actually worse than stock an non communicative overall. But that's just my guess, based on the few reviews I've seen.
