front end shift when stabbing the gas????
first off the the car is a 92 with kyb agx's and RM springs. i also replaced the rack bushings with ES ones. anyway if i'm cruising down the highway in fifth (most noticeable in fifth) and i give it gas to pass someone the steering wheel will shift to the right and the car will pull to the left. i can find a spot in the accelerator and keep making it do it. it does it in every gear but it's not as bad since usually 1-4 i'm accelerating up to speed anyway. i just had it aligned friday. has anyone else encountered this? it drives straight down the road any other time. thanks for any help.

Engine mounts? How is the bearing in the middle of the passenger side axle?

Maybe a bad balljoint, double check that the rack is tight..Good luck!

thanks for the replies. the axle was just changed with the bearing (passenger side), and the ball joints are good or at least they were the last time i checked. as for the mounts i think they've all been replaced recently except for the one on the front of the engine. i'll go back and make sure the rack is tight. thanks again for the help. sucks that i won't be able to mess with it till the weekend as i'm working 11 hour days.

Balljoints are my first guess, check your wheel bearings while you are there.

My car is behaving in the exact same manner. Every bushing with the exception of the steering rack and tie rod boots have been replaced with performance ES bushings, less than 6k miles ago. The tie rods themselves, i'm 110% positive, are shot. Additionally, new struts, strut mounts, spring pads, thrust bearings, gaskets, the works have been installed on all four corners, again ~6k miles ago. All new OEM. New wheel bearing and hub on passenger side. New control arms on both sides, including ball joints of course. If I apply throttle in 5th gear on the highway, the car feels like it's sliding to the right. I want to get under the car and check everything out, but it's so damn cold outside. Does anyone have an idea what I should check first?

Kinda happened to me, my left axle was bad, and it would cause the steering to turn right, and the car would pull left. I thought it was the wheel bearing, so I had changed that. But then I started hearing a noise in turns, and I replaced the axle and it was fixed!

^^i'll have to try the left axle if i don't find anything else. i think it does have quite a few miles on it. thanks for the suggestion.
