Is there some truth to back up this statement or you are just going off what you heard/someone told you?

He can't have proof because this is a new product and how can they fall apart?

They are not going to be made-out off plastic

Is it me, or are those rears inverted (looks like a LCA application in the photo for the Honda boys)??? Hmmmm, maybe another sign he actually DID put some though into these...........

And shock dynos and graphs............

Hmmmmmm.............Gots me thinking a bit!!

But even if they do turn out to be crappy, come on, under 700 for a set of coils shipped?? Hundreds cheaper than Megan/K2/D8 JDM/ or whatever other crap coilovers there are out there!!

Just some food for thought.............

He said in the G20.net thread that the picture posted of the black coil-overs was from a prototype of one of their Honda designs (you were right Boostlee). Almost certainly the G20 versions will not be inverted like that I don't think.

You have a great point about the price. It's so low, even if they are "bad" they are still ridiculously cheap at this price and as long as they are not unsafe they would be a no-brainer for those considering cheap coil-overs to begin with.

Makes me wish I had something I could put them on..............

You get what you pay for with suspension. I would be more excited for a quality moderate priced suspension rather then some cheap setup. There are tons of cheap coilovers out there.

I'm not trying to knock this sale, but don't expect some super quality great performing coilover for that price. Even though I am still victim to good deals it almost never pays to be thrifty especially with something as important as suspension.

^^^^ You know, sometimes that is not always the case.

Its funny, when I had a honda, people always raved about D2/Ksports/etc which costs upwards of $1200-1500 at the time. Me being the inquisitive person I am (and always asking "why") I looked deeper into the hype. Yeahh, unfounded is all I have to say.

I got my Koni/GC setup for less than 700 brand new!!! And even "God" knows how much better the simple off the shelf Koni yellow/GC setup is than anything priced upwards of $2000 (both at that time and currently - my personal opinion, so please, do not chastise me on this, but its also the personal opinion of many other "intelligent" minded enthusiasts who use their coilovers for what they were meant for - to corner balance and achieve proper ride height.............)!!

In total I think my entire suspension and wheel setup which consisted of OTS valved brand new Koni yellows, GC (crx application) coils with 2.5-7-400 and 2.5-7-450 springs, GC extended tophats, Rota 15 inch wheels and almost brand new Azenis (215 mind you, but its a street car more than anything else), came out to less than a new set of D2s/Ksports at the time!! And that is one hell of a setup for both daily/STS at the time.

Suspension: 800 (included tophats)
Wheels/tires : 400

Total: $1200

And you had yourself a suspension that rivalved things costing 3-5 times as much (oh, and the facts and results from various race series and daily/HPDE/Auto x cars prove).

So, I do not fully agree with your statement!!!

Not trying to be an ass, but sometimes, you end up paying for the hype!!

:ok I am done with my rant:

I meant off the shelf "coilover" setup. If you are an educated enthusiast then you can put together a great setup for $1000 - $1500 like you have. I am referring to a coilover setup you would be that is ready out of the box. You are 100% correct however in your statement.
