I agree with the washers, should be replaced when the struts are done. Why spend all that money and not do it??
The heater hose option works great, and alot cheaper. Done it on both of mine.
Got to remember that these springs also lower the car. If you put the stock next to the rm's, they are shorter. So with the car in the air, the strut is max extended. They will be loose. But under weight, they won't move. So unless you plan on getting air time under the car, the looseness is not an issue.

Just and FYI.... If you go with the rubber hose. Spray some WD40 or even dish soap and water on the hose... Helps out almost to get it around the spring.

My passenger side makes noise.....but it could be from the lack of a lower spring seat.....the old one rotted away

That's good to know that the looseness of the spring is normal. What exactly is causing the popping noise? The spring is under a lot of weight w/the car on top of it, and when turning the wheel it pops. Sounds like the spring is trying to turn as well or the spring isn't moving freely. Maybe just putting some grease under/top of the spring would help?

I can see the rubber helping, but the spring will turn on the rubber instead of the metal and wear it out I'd assume.

just a few zip ties i've rigged up for now.:o

and obviously im talking about the circular bushing that sits between the spring a shock. I've learned to never reuse old parts. lol

Oh and mine used to make a popping noise up front till i got it aligned.

Sorry to bring this one back from the dead, but I'm having a similar problem but with some extra steering issues. i have the AGX/RM setup

I get the popping noise when i turn but on top of that my steering gets all thrown off. I'll make a right hand turn, it'll pop a few times, then when i exit the turn the car wants to pull to the right. Then ill make a left hand turn, pop, then the car wants to pull left??? I'm really confused. I havent gotten it aligned yet but i would assume the car would usually pull one way or another not changing depending on the previous turn. any ideas? hoping to get the car aligned this week

My problem just went away all of a sudden one day. Maybe they just needed to 'break in' idk.

Mine does that too. Sort of sticks after making a turn and makes a bunch of noise. Its because we reused the old rubbers and strut bearings.. its all available from the dealer. It will go away if you replace them. My co worker put all new stuff in when he did his.. Mine hadnt come in yet so I reused my old stuff. Not a peep out of his car.
