Had same problem for the longest time then finally looked into it and the strut bearing was worn out and even put in the wrong place so the studs were actually rubbing the top spring perch. I suppose that was causing it to lock into a pull to the right after a right turn or vise versa. Any way replace the strut bearing and make sure its put in the right way so the top spins freely and not rubbing or hitting anything.

I thought all they made, now, was the plastic kind... I've crushed 2 sets worth. If you know of a thrust washer/strut bearing that's stronger, do tell. I'm pretty sure the front passenger side has cracked... again.

With the plastic ones, you can not tighten the strut bolt to the proper torque... they will break. Ask me how I know.
