Suspension Help
Searched abit couldnt really find anything.

Im planning on buying Coilovers for my car just wanted to pcik your brains a little when it comes to spring rates. Ive noticed most of the b13 Race cars rates are stiffer at the back than the front. What would you reccomend for me.

I Have a B12 fully stripped out with SR20DET

Plans is to do track days drag and autocross. The car is not a DD so ride comfort isnt really a priority

How much does the thing weigh? Front/back? Corners?

I never noticed the racing B13s having higher rates in back. You sure?

Ive seen one or two and im sure Mike kojima's cars are. Maybe i looked wrong.

Im looking at teins atm. they are 448/336 standard

As for weights on the car i have no idea. the car is still in pieces but it weights just barely over 2200lbs stock

I know Scott Higashi says 500/380 is about the stiffest he'd go on the street (and ran those rates for a long time IIRC), and that with proper Koni dampers the ride is nothing to be afraid of. With that in mind, the Tein spring rates of 448/336 might be adequate for a race car weighing less than a B13, but you might be looking for more.

That's the best frame of reference I can give you.

Just read this on MotoIQ thought id post it

The first thing any front-drive ****box needs to be a race car is a stiffer rear suspension. Stiffening the rear forces the rear tires to carry more of the cornering load, relieving the overworked front tires and reducing understeer
