Well is this a Drag racing topic or a whole megan racing coilover topic?

We're here to share experiences and opinions on the MR's. straight line, turns, daily driving, etc.

2 of us ( Prodrifter and I) are going to be hitting the track next year. Maybe Streets of Willow, or other neat tracks here in socal. So we will be testing the coilovers showing the forum the pro's and con's.

I'm not in any way defending MR's, and I have not installed them on my b13 because i'm not done with the swap, But the guys that are out here with them have no complaints, and I have driven 1 of the cars with them and they ride great.

You do realize you are trying to argue with a guy that has had nearly every suspension made for the b 13 chassis.

Thats fine and all but I have to wonder about the calibration of your butt meter if you are saying that Megans/Ksports are good. Ive dealt with alot of VERY NICE, VERY EXPENSIVE, properly designed suspensions over a gamut of many cars and these just dont hold up IMO

Ive personally dealt with the Megans/Ksports on soo many cars while working at a performance shop that it makes my head hurt. Everything from S chassis to honda's, even sentra's and NX's

Ive seen them leak, seize, break, snap.. Experienced how they ride compared to other suspensions and in my opinion they are bottom barrel, entry level coilovers. I would never rock them unless they were the only option available.

How much R&D do you think they actually do?

The reason I bought my Teins is because despite not having the best ride quality or dampening they at least hold up, and won't blow out / seize up on me.

The best thing about them is when you go to sell them people will actually want to buy them from you for a decent price! Try selling your leaking set of Ksports or Megans after a couple years, and see how much someone will pay for them...

all of these Chinese coilovers company use the same valving for all the cars. the only different in the strut/shock is the length.

I've seen Teins siezed up. if I were to get a a B13 again, I would go Progress again or koni. If bilstien or Ohlin's made something for us, I'd be all over that.
