they look exactly like bc-racing coils.. i bet bc racing has been subcontracted to build them

This blows my mind too. It usually demonstrates someone who hasn't even done one autocross. Once you see the value in corners, a few straight-line hp here and there mean nothing.

And that's the way it should be for a novice.

I'm not trying to be argumentative here, but something occurred to me today that I thought I'd suggest.

For those of you looking for the slammed look, who enjoy a very stiff ride, and who don't want to spend a lot of money I have something for you to ponder.

Take a stock suspension (GA16 car will do), throw out the springs, drill holes in the struts to drain them and allow them to compress fully. Put them back on the car and jack the car up to your desired height and then weld the struts solid.

I know that sounds completely f*сked up, but if you do it with an eye towards safety (maybe reinforce the piston some) it would be much cheaper, could go as low as you want without worrying about rubbing over bumps at all, and it would probably be safer too. I'm being completely serious with this suggestion and I'd do it to my own car (if I wanted the slammed look) before considering Megan Racing coilovers. At least as an experiment.

That's not sarcasm. I don't think I've used sarcasm more than 2 or 3 times ever on this forum (and I tried to make it extremely obvious and in humor threads only). You folks wouldn't know what to do with me if I started using sarcasm. I'm misunderstood enough as it is. I can't use sarcasm around here. I'd get lynched.

This is the truth. Ben let his "idea"(not trying to poke fun or anything) of funny/sarcasm loose in OT ONCE! I repeat ONCE! Needless to say, most people on this forum took offense.
