Thread: B13 sway bar fitment issue... Suspension Techniques

Not sure if anyone has run into this or not. I did an install of some B13 Suspension Techniques sway bars, but the rear I could not get to fit even when having the suspension at proper ride height. I got the front to fit, but it has serious clearance issues with the shift selector bar, it rubs on 5th and Reverse and also is very hard to get into either gear once it hits the bar. The rear mounting points are not even close to the B13, they are further inward by almost 1 inch. The front fitment was fine, no issues there, but the rear is a different story. I got them brand new with all paper work and instructions and the part numbers match what the directions say. So either they are mislabeled or they are an older design. Can someone post a pic of their front and rear sway bar sets up on a B13. I'll post mine tomorrow once I get it on a lift. But it's really bugging me cause I need to find out what they fit so I can just sell them and get something that fits properly.

im a witness, also. Bull**** fitment, i still think they are b14 bars.

On the B13 the ST sway bar attaches to the large bolt on the knuckle (i think) not the struts like the OEM. Look for a BMF bolt like 22mm or something just behind the rear wheels, it attaches behind that bolt. and then other points are as per OEM

Yep even with that installed correctly. Believe me, I've tried everything, but the fact is that the bars mounting points on the chasis are spaced 1 inch inward where the bends are. And the supplied end link bolts are not long enough even when the suspension is fully compressed like it was sitting on the ground with wheels and tires. Anyone have a pic of their Rear sway bar install?

thats mine, i had to search alot to find out how to put this on, AND make my own brackets for the end links.. mine was used and didnt come with instructions.. it has to be installed while the suspension is compressed an you have to go step by step an try different things.. eventually it'll work..

i used 2 long wooden ramps run threw the trunk into the back seat to install my rear swaybar. i had a 260lb mechanic sit on the boards that were like 6 foot long load up the rear suspention so i could get the nuts on the bolts in the back. this was when i was on Hypercoils. with stock springs all we had to do was put the rear hubs on jack stands and have the same mechanic sit on the trunk. the front bar went in like a glove. mind you the kit had 2 differnt size bolts and spacers one for lowering springs and one for stock spring.

Alright, going to try that out, looks like it will bind like crazy though.

i havent noticed any more binding then i did with the stock one... hell i think it binds less!
