Thread: NX2000 Brakes..Shims??

Hey,

So I got some Re-man'd ad22 brakes. The brakes came w/the pad retainer shims, but not the outer or inner shims. When I install the brakes on my b14, can I use the AD18 shims or just not use the shims at all? What have you guys done/suggest?

You don't need the shims. Use high temp grease where the caliper contacts the pads, inside and outside, to control any squealing. I've never had any issues leaving the shims out.
