prothane passanger mount install help!
so the mount is so big i cant get the two side bolts to go directly in, i mean straight up and down. How is everyone else putting these mounts in. I did this before but it was years ago and forgot how i did it.

Trim some material off.

Shop press, a few boards, and some sockets......

^^^it sounds like he got the mount pressed in and cant get the bolts down to the bolt hole, trimming is definatly needed

i guess i'm going to trim it, just weird because i did it before without cutting it.

Trim two upside down L's about an inch long on each side. This will give enough room to play with.

ended up just cutting it but i think i didn't have to do it. The bolt holes in mount bracket i think where stripped so i just drilled them out and placed new bolts in with a lock nut on the back. Its holding strong. thanks for everyone's help. then can be closed if wanted.
