Feeler: B13 225 (maybe wider) rear tire kit
As many of you know we have Happynole's car at the shop. While it is here we are trying to get as many products and measurements we can before the car has to leave.

One of the items Joe would like is a new rear offset pillow ball mount to allow the use of a wider rear tire.
The kit will include a pair of new rear offset pillowball mounts, new ears for your struts and an alignment jig to weld on the new ears.

I need to get at least 5 interested parties before we conceptualize and price this one out.

I'm running 225s in the rear no problem without this (fender rolling required). I imagine you could get 235s or maybe larger with this modification. My only concern right now would be the control link (see pic). I wonder if it's not as much of a problem as the strut housing as far as clearance. Maybe I'll take a look at my car and get some measurements/pics.

AMR makes their own housings therefore they probably offset the tabs more to accommodate a larger tire. But they dont provide a pillow mount with their setups. I would bet that the strut shaft coming through the top mount is being pulled or that their housings are thinner than factory.

it isn't thinner.. but we did have to roll the fenders... the rear end is just along for the ride anyway

but you got me on the pillowball tops.. kudos there!!!

We do have pillow ball rear mounts for the B13 chassis. We are working on the offset style to run the longer ears.
