Ethics behind wrong core exchanges...
Hey,

So I'm on the market for some AD22VF brakes. I've found a bunch of rebuilt ones, but they all have core charges added on. I know there used to be an Autozone deal a few years ago where B14 guys were exchanging their calipers as cores for the AD22VF brakes.

IDK if I would get away w/that today, but I guess I could try. I just feel like I'm cheating the company that's doing the re-man because they will receive a core that's not correct(b14 calipers).

How do you wrestle with this ethical dilemma? Plus, what success have you had exchanging the wrong part as a core?

You realize that the parts guys have no idea what they are looking at; throw them in a giant box with all of the other cores, and you make a $1 donation to your favorite charity.

Here you go, does it say the cores have to be AD22? Or does it just say core charge? If it doesn't say AD22's then you conscience can be clear.

i can tell you that yeah your susposed to bring back the same thing when there's a core charge. but in the end as long as there's a rebuildable part in the box the company will be able to rebuild and resell so don't feel too bad.

Yah that's an easy one - think about how long it would take said company to find out which those 'non' right calipers are for.

That's some bull**** to even think about sheisting like that. for shame.

i doubt they even bother looking at them in store
it would be the rebuilder who would probably spot them as being wrong, and by that time they might not even know what store it came from
