Awesome thanks just making sure before i tried to take it off and have huge holes to fill in. Any one know the factory spec on the top nut by chance?

I have never tightened that top nut to spec. I just hit it with an impact and call it a day. No issues encountered yet.

sorry I forgot to look it up its 18-22ft lb. I have had this noise happen on a few different coilover setups. They have torque specs for a reason if you over torque you are loading the spring.

does it matter that i'm running the agx/rm set up now no more coilovers? either way i guess i'll try to torque it to spec and see how that works out. thanks

this usually does not happen with normal spring and strut combos because the spring cannot move due to the strut perches. I would start by cleaning and lubing the whole front end.

i did lube the heck out of everything in the top hat part when i put the new strut bearings in. I did not lube anything as far as the spring perches. I suppose i'll check for cleanliness. Thanks for the responses. If any one as any other ideas to try it would be much appreciated too.
