Does a guy need the reciept to claim said warranty, and do I send in just the insert, the whole assembily, or do they send me a rebuild kit? I've never done warranty with struts before (as you can tell!)

HAHA no I don't need you to call! If my Koni's break I will just buy new ones... I was telling that to the O.P. Maybe I am crabby today but I don't get posts that ask people on the forum (who have no control over the issue at hand) how something is going to work...
