Please verify hyperco gen 2's
I bought some used ones off the forum and would like to verify that they are indeed hyperco gen 2's. Since they are well used, I just want to make sure.
This is the best photo of identification I could find.

I believe they are - my G2's were labeled GEN2F or GEN2R (front / rear) and my friend's Gen 1 coils are not labeled as such.

I would assume they are, then, indeed second generation.

could a guy get the paint removed and re-powdercoated?
also, it does make a difference front and rear eh...I'll have to make sure to see if I can't tell the difference between the other 3, match one to the labelled one and that way I'd know fromt and rear.

Yes you can get them painted and I believe don't quote me on this that they are all the same size springs there is no difference

Gen 1 did not have writing on them, those are gen2 for sure.
They can be stripped or blasted and repainted or powdercoated without any issues.
Didnt you get those from me?
I dont remember who bought my old ones, but they looked alot like those.

Those are Gen 2, and the taller springs go in front. Read the suspension thread (I believe) to find out where to put the tighter coils - Top or bottom.

There is a difference in the diameter of the springs if you look closely. I am not talking about the diameter of the coil but of the cross-sectional area of the spring itself. It is only a millimeter or two. The larger diameter springs go up front.

And if I remember correctly from when I did mine, the tighter coils go to the top.

Joe is correct about the tight coils going up top. The idea is that since they are dead coils, they are just dead weight. Better to have that weight "sprung" than "unsprung".
