So you're running factory shocks/springs with Tein pillowballs? I stand corrected then, more pics please!

not stock, but stock replacement springs and struts.

many many people talk without experience, relying on what they've read from the last jackass who does the same. i came to to realize that a long time ago when i met a certin search nazi. back in his post mono-wiper days

I didn't want to say the TEIN would work because I had never done it myself. No reason they shouldn't work (or they should work is a better way to say it). Tein uses a upper spring size that is the same as oem for this very reason. Like has already been said.

Speaking from first hand experience, the rears definitely worked with my stock mounts but the front pillowball mounts were what threw me off. I assumed (incorrectly) that there would be trouble matching the pillowball mount with the stock setup as they were designed to be used with an aftermarket coilover.

does the tein rear increas b14 rear strut travel like the motivational engineering . can we just toss extra bushings into our stockers?@ am i just old school to be running b13 struts on the front of my b14?

I'm just wondering if the best bang for the buck is Ground controls, Tein, or Cusco..... Take out the need for a FSTB, which would be of better quality for the function of the product?

There seems to be alot of conversation on fitment of FSTB to a camber plate, and ride height changes, but not a lot of hard evidence that I found.

Again, sorry if this is clearly stated somewhere that I missed, but I think it's time to put it all in one place. I know that Shawn B's thread touches the need for a plate, and who makes them but I had a hard time of getting the info that I needed.

Thanks all

An excellent question, you are correct, the information you require is not in the thread.

Check.

And confirmed, Stillen are in fact rebadged Cusco units.

Not sure but this should be added to the Shawn B thread?

Yes.

During this...forum divorce, I have been busy with personal matters.

This information will be included shortly.

The problem is not so much the lack of experience.

The problem is listening to a jackass spewing bull**** in the first place. Much learning is done with no prior experience, simply by reading from the correct, expert and accurate sources.

Wow. There is now an Amazing Sticky at the top of this section. I wonder how that happened?

I guess I better include which camber plates work with coilovers and which work with regular springs.

To tell you truth, I thought that information was already included. I think I discussed this issue with Steve at one point....hell I dunno.

I was talking with Nick and he said he used stock strut mounts and such and it got me thinking. If it uses stock strut mount, why can't it be used on stock suspension setup? SOOOO, someone needs to confirm Tein camber plates work with tein springs or coilovers.

Shawn, It might be in there, but I didn't find it, or there was some info, but not what I was looking for...?? ... and don't break your back over it, don't think I was waiting for you to update, you've done OH SO MUCH already!

For the rest of the suspension Gurus, thanks for picking your brains on this for me/the community, honestly if I had some extra cash I'd buy sets from all 3 companies and test them all but unfortunatly I don't.

Brent, it seems like you have something going there with the stock strut mount theory
