im pretty sure i know how they do this "cf" paint.

its a ink thats printed onto a sheet of gel. the sheet of gel is then pulled across the hot tank (certain chemicals and tempature). the gel then disolves leaving the ink sitting on top of the water. then the items are dipped threw the ink and pull back out.

im pretty sure thats how they do it, correct ? im guessing this only because of how intricate the apperance of the weave is.

but honestly im not into it, cf is whats up, but fake cf is somewhat ricey. but it does look like a nice job they did.

I agree about the fake CF look,in most cases but this is an exception.Everyone was skeptical, including myself, and until your face is like a foot away, you cant tell the difference.Guess I dont have to worry about you copying me.
Not all of us have your bank account.Maybe you can afford to get your stuff done real CF,I cant. And my car is going to be driven,ALOT,probably more than any car on the boards..Its not a trailer queen or show car,or do I want it to be.I dont want a 10,000 dollar NX
I just wanted something different.I get tired of seeing blue and red VC and blue cusco bars.
Always gonna be a hater in the bunch...oh well.I am not into your Stillen VC either.Real or not.Thats why we all have our cars moded differently too.
I love it,rice or not.Thats all that matters.

Could you imagine if there was a real carbon fiber VC! That would be off the chain!!

Some special edition BMW 330d(?) came with a carbon fiber valve cover from the factory.

I knew someone would ask, so I've been searching... Not finding anything.
I saw it on 5th gear. The blond girl (Vicki Butler) was doing the review on it in the Isle of Man I think. It was a 325d or 328d or 330d or something. Might have had another letter in the model to distinguish it as being a special edition.

Edit 1: I'm pretty sure it's on the same episode that the orange McLaren F1 LM and red Enzo are compared to each other.

Edit 2: I've found that clip is from season 9, episode 13.

Edit 3:
Vicki tests the limited edition BMW 320Si which was made to celebrate BMW’s success in the World Touring Car Championships
I could have sworn it was a diesel.

Edit 4: Here's a link: http://fifthgear.five.tv/jsp/5gmain.jsp?mnk=441&description=Page%201&featureid=436&pageid=863&show=s9e13§ion=On%20test Still no pics yet.

And here's the video I was talking about.

YouTube - BMW 320Si

I guess I thought it was a diesel just because it's a relatively underpowered and small engined BMW.
