Ebay coilovers with agx
OK my Flamesuit is on.
Has anyone tried this?
I have a se-r I want to run at the dragstrip, and wanted to be able to raise and lower the car,and adjust the damping.
I have a set of agx on hyperco, but it seems like a waste to go in a straight line.I feel the same way about buying a set of expensive coilovers.

I was thinking of trying ebay cheapo coilovers with the agx to compromise budget for the ability to adjust the heigt and damping.

I woud never try ebay coilovers for any other reason

I think you could get away with some eBay coilover sleeves but use some genuine eibach or hypercoil springs.

I run AGX with e-bay sleeves and Bluecoil springs ... The E-bay springs will be pretty stiff I tried them on my old Altima and it was really stiff ...

Might be worth a shot for a drag only rig ... May want to at least have the rates checked to see if they are close to want you would want ...

I have 2 sets of e-bay springs laying around and have always been curious as to the rates as far as using them for testing purposes...but just havent had the chance to check the rates ...

yeah would not use the ebay springs even if its just a drag only car. they dont have a spring rating for them because the fact they were never tested. they are for the most part very very stiff to the point people have actually broken them.

I have GC coilovers on my gr2's and i love them for my drag car and even for street use. If you look at some of my first drag strip vids with just stock struts on progress lowring springs you can see how much my back end squats down during launch even on street tires, then you can go to my most current runs on slicks with the gr2's w/ GC coilovers and i launch way way harder, have alot more grip, and the backend of my car does absolutly nothing but launch foward with the rest of the car. no squating no nothing. The difference on the traction end was unreal just from switching suspensions

Same with the front, not a single drop of wheel hop at all, i have es bushing on the front and rear as well. I would say the setup i have is a pretty good street/strip setup. The street ride is somewhat bumpy but very very sold feel to it.
