Help On Putting Progress Coilovers Together
Who has these and can assist with just a little help? I received them yesterday and they have only 2 koni style (polyurethane) bumpstops (is this right?) and then I have 4 round sping pad/bumpstop intergrated looking things? Where does the bumpstops and the intergrated springs pads/bumpstops go? I have 2 struts that have a long shafts (assuming fronts) and then I have the other 2 struts with very short shafts (assuming rears) Also I have 2 round metal discs and 2 metal strut perchs/tophats with bolts welded to them. Atleast thats what they look like. Do I use these or do I use the (new) original nissan parts? There is no instructions to tell me what to do? the only thing labeled is the springs for front and back thats it. Wow, just a simple 1 page list of items and 1 page basic instructions/pictures would have been to much to ask for?Appreciate any help on this! Thanks

I'll look to see if I still have my instructions, but it's been a couple of years. The "long" struts are for the back. You don't need the koni style bump stops, by the way. If I remember correctly, you integrate most of the stock pieces, especially at the top fronts, with the progressive set up.

Just a word of caution... do not torque the front top nut to specs, you will crush the plastic washer bearing.

If I don't have the instructions, I'll take off one of the fronts to see what pieces go where. But, I won't be able to do this until Thursday or Friday.

Peas us Riced,
Mark

P.S. Have you tried the progressive web site to see if they have the instructions online?

Don't know if this helps any (for a different car, its about all i could find) but i assume assembly is the same? If all else fails I'd call progress they should help with no problem.
