Attention all AGX owners
Hey y'all. I need some help. I'm gonna be honest and say that I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to suspenion so feel free to tell me to search if you are so inclined.

I recently aquired a set of GC coilovers uptop of some AGX's. I know that I need to replace the springs as they are to soft. The fronts are GC180.64.01 and the rears are GC150.64.59's. Also, I think the fronts maybe blown. They don't seem to have any rebound. That ain't right, is it? They should have some resistance when I push down on them right? Any help you experienced suspension gurus can provided is most appreciated.

Put it on the max setting and try pushing down. Should have a good amount of resistance and should slowly rise. Try putting them on number 1 and pumping them up and down and see if fluid leaks out.

As I recall, the AGX's are not gas pressurized. It is gas pressure that causes a quick return when compressed. Pull up on the strut after you compress it. If it pulls up hard, it should be OK.

They will return after being pressed down.

Oh ok maybe they are ok then. They have some good resistance when I pull up on the strut. Thanks for the help guys.

AGX's will definately return after you press them down! Hell its not easy to press them down on the heaviest setting.

Yeah I put them on the heaviest setting and it was difficult to push them down. They slowly return after I push them down. On the lightest setting they are much easier to push down and they return quicker.

Since we're talking about AGXs. I have a set of AGXs that I got off a B14 I bought. 3 are blown out and one has the top of the shaft broke off from an accident. Are these worth anything? Can they be sent in to be rebuilt? Is it worth it? I've heard that they are lifetime guaranteed. Could someone who has a receipt get these repaired/replaced under that warranty?
