Yeah it's called "The Poor-Boy Method" right? I saw it on a AGX/Hypercoil install in NPM.

^^ Pretty much yeah. But it works.. I did it on my AGX/RM install. Worked like a charm.

I like it this way rather than with camber bolts do to the fact that the OEM bolts are pretty strong unlike campber bolts that are 1/4" thinner. Just a piece of mind I guess.

Plus aren't camber bolts pretty pricey? I want to say I saw some somewhere for $13 a pop. I think I would rather use my $26 on making a camber tool and just drill out one of the holes.

They can be. Your best bet is to do the above. Its simply, takes a few mins and is worth the price that you save. All for a drill bit and some of your time. Well plus the price of an alignment too. Your going to want to get that.

i know this thread is old but what size bit are you guys using to drill out the struts? I am having some camber issues right now and would like to correct them without dropping a penny into this car.

What is the issue? We need moar information before throwing ideas at you. Replacing worn parts is the best alternative. You don't want to replace anything so that will make it interesting. You are lucky these are struts that are so incredibly forgiving to tolerances that we can probably help you.

@Kyle

My driver side has excessive camber. I put a 1.7° camber bolt in the car and it still has 2.0° of negative camber. The car is also at stock ride height it use to be slamed before I had it.

The car has been crashed and has original bushings from 97. The car is all fucked up.

I do not want to replace any parts on the car. I would like to modify it as it is to work.

These are positive degrees of camber? That sucks. If it is negative, let it ride and eat up the inside edges of tires and handle like a boss.

Has an alignment been done since before and/or after the car being slammed and then returned to stock height? If the LCA bushings are shot, causing the excessive camber, that will make the free fifty route a bit more difficult.

It is negative camber but I would like the tires to last a normal amount of time.

I tried to get it aligned last weekend but the camber on the driver side was fucked.

Slot the struts. Sounds like this car isn't road worthy though... Hope you are getting an alignment so you can drive it to the crusher.
