The motor sounds super-healthy, too. You should run STS and stay down class as long as possible. Be careful of mods that would push you up-class too soon. I run DSP and it's taken me a year and a load of setup work to place top 3 in class consistently. That's a tough class for B13's with cars competing against having more hp, AWD or F/R with more hp, there's a trend there.
Driver + Seat Time + Learning wins, not the numeric superiority of some other car in your class on paper. Sunday I finished in the top third of 88 cars of all types, well above a slew of S13/S14's w/DET's, Evos, E36 M3's, 'Vettes, etc.
Then again, I got my ass handed to me in my own class by 1.7s from a '99 Honda Civic that only has STS2 level mods and Falkens. :o He finished RAW top 10/88 and 3rd of 88 on PAX. Damn...good...driver.
Btw I also run Street tires even in DSP, until I'm within ~2-3 s of FTD
overall consistently, I won't run my comp-Rs - it can really be a crutch while you're learning the game. Usually when you PAX the results, if you're driving well, a car like ours can still PAX out top 10.
Btw, my understanding is SCCA is down-classing in SP the B13 from DSP to FSP next season - BWAAHAHAHahahahaha!
