Thread: What kind of seats and harnesses are you guys using?

I'm considering getting some B15 seats down the line with a 5 or 6 point harness. What do you guys like to use?

anybody know about the BOMZ ones quality-wise? They seems like a good deal for the price, but I'm thinking they probably made out of cheap fabric then.

you can sit in some b15 seats if you really want to if you still go auto'xin tomorro, provided there are no trees or anything in the lot due to tornados....

haha, I wish I was going but the weather looks unfavorable, I'm bummed that the next one will be like June 28th or something, like all the clubs are having a huge break.

I use the stock seats and a Schroth Rallye Cross harness hooked to a harness bar in my SE-R. It works very well for autox.

Im using the stock seats with G-Force 6 point harnesses, omp mounting plates and clips, with a Kirk Racing 4 point roll bar. Its safe, secure and inexpensive. Heck you can even keep your back seat in there if you really wanted to.

^+1 it's amazing what a harness will do, even in the stock seats. I'm still running the stock seats/belts and a set of harnesses would be fine with me.

Is this a track car or a dual duty machine?

daily driven weekend warrior. priorities have changed into a manual conversion with the help of squirlz (and don't think you're not helping) but I'm keeping my eyes and ears open for some specV seats if I can find 'em and a 4 pt harness. I don't doubt the benefit of the harness, I get tossed around the car enough as it is on some of the tighter courses. As they say, improve the driver before you improve the car.

I think you're on the right track, I have a friend who put a set of racing seats in his DD/WW car and it ruined the car from a DD standpoint. Stick with the OEM type seat and harnesses, I think you'll be golden.

I'll see if I can find them, but that same friend has a set of DOT approved harnesses that a central unlock that is the same type as your factory belts...I just can't remember who made them right now.

EDIT: THESE are not the ones I was looking for, but are the same idea.
