RX'er Introduction (West Coaster)
New to the forum. Thought I'd introduce myself here since my primary SR20 interest is as a rallycrosser.

Started in 2008 with a 92 SER, wanted to go faster so went to an Evo X which I blew up (oops), then to a rally cherokee for cheap mod racing, but couldn't match the Sube's, and now back this year again to my Sentra.

I really like running Stock 2 because it runs first, before the course gets all torn up. The car is stock with Winterforces (now on Miata daisies) and GR2s.

I think I won year-end back in 2008 (SoCal), now back in the car I won the 2012 Glen Helen National Challenge and am leading the regional series with one event to go. Main competition is a Dodge Stealth driven by a professional stuntman. He's good.

While I primarily run SoCal (Los Angeles vicinity) I travel all over and have run events in Oregon, Utah, Nevada and Colorado including their two national championships. Some pics:

My kid at the wheel. Lost his ride when he started getting close. Now runs my mod/2 supercharged rabbit.

Glad to be here. -- Bill

West Coast rallyx courses always look so smooooth. Nice pics.

They start off very smooth -- we rent tractors and grade them. But they're all dirt, no roots, and we periodically water to keep dust down. So the surface deteriorates throughout the day.

My favorite sites are on drylake beds. Traction so good the tires squeel and lay down black streaks. Stays baby smooth all day. Performance street tires outperform rally tires.
