HP > Traction
This was the theme at today's autocross (well, for me anyway). Enjoy!

In that last video I did DNF (that was the first run and I was more concerned about the point and shoot method with this car) in the first run that is shown. The second run wasn't too bad.

Not bad. Look ahead and roll into throttle alot earlier. Blah blah blah.

You couldn't really roll into throttle earlier... it starts spinning at less than half throttle.

I did pretty well, I was on crappy Falken Ziex 912/512 front and rear respectively; I was only 2 seconds slower than my RX-8 which I had the 7th fastest raw and pax time with of the day (out of 50 cars). First time autocrossing with the progress coilovers and I did it immediately after racing the RX-8 lol.

You would be surprised. Quarter throttle is some throttle.

I get on power BEFORE apex without issues/sliding/wheel spin sometimes depending on course. You just have to setup for it.

Looks like fun. Didnt look like you were pushing the corners too hard though for the most part, No tire screeching at all.

Either way im sure with more practice you can cut down your time. Looks like a blast either way.

If you want an open autox come to DFW ;-) We get some that hit 100mph in the faster cars.

If you want some more seat time, Salina Region runs events on the former airport now called "East Crawford Rec. Area." Very high grip concrete, probably some of the best in the country. The courses are long and narrow, which means mostly transition and boxes at speed. Good look ahead/drive ahead practice.

Their web site shows their last event of the year is there this Sunday, November 6.
