Anyone care to talk driving shoes?
My jogging shoes just aren't cuttin it any more. I am working on heel toe and left foot braking here and there around the town. My current shoes get caught on the pedals at times and are too bulky. I have had some Pumas from the mall they weren't to bad but I would like to try something else. I didn't realize the how many there where until I typed it into Google. I have been looking at the Piloti.com and also Saferacer.com also
So I'm curious what kind of shoes does everyone prefer to do your driving in? All you guys that do a lot of fancy foot/pedal work. Everything from the flame retardant high top boots to just daily foot wear (Is there even that much of a difference to look at those high tops?)

Any and all opinions on the subject welcome

Addidas Samba Classic indoor soccer shoes are good, and I know people who have used wrestling shoes.

I have a pair of Pilotis but haven't used them much because of a couple pairs of driving shoes ahead in the rotation. They seem OK and are a little wider than most driving shoes, which might be better for heal/toe if you have small feet. I'm OK with most any shoe in the SE-R (wear a size 12).

Yeah, Samba's, Puma's, or any pair of slip ons

Adidas acutally has a driving shoe which is relitively inexpensive and will work better than the samba. I have a pair and they are great. here is what they look like

Check out "Piloti" shoes. They're another good everyday wearable driving shoe and come in a lot of styles.

Saferacer.com and Apexperformance.net carry them.

I have both a pair of Adiracers and a pair of Piloti's. The Piloti's are a better shoe to wear the whole day (if you do not want to be changing shoes) and the Adiracers are the better driving shoe, but not comfy for shaggy cones or standing around.

I actually have a pair of those, about a year old. They might be in the rotation of driving shoes, but the plastic on the front has broken, so when it's wet, the inside of the shoe gets wet.

That is good to know I WAS considering those

Pilotis are at the top of my list now. I was hoping to find something wider than the Pumas they are a little narrow when braking and reaching for the gas (both with the top of my foot) even with my pedal bent a bit. Plus I used a the Google shopping button and found some places selling for less than the actual Piloti site.

Thanks for the shoe reviews guys

Pilotis are wider for a driving shoe.
