Went to the local u-pull today.
Got the fuel rail spaces out of some Altimas. Got a water neck out of a B15 Sentra SE. There were two of them there. A new record for SR20DE engines in this particular yard.
There was even a B15 SE-R there. I was tempted to grab the wheels as winter wheels for my Spec-V, but contented myself with grabbing a replacement visor.
Got home, chipped ice off the driveway and tossed the XS Power battery in the rally car. Fired up instantly after sitting since more or less last August. Tried to back it out but the front wheels were down in like 3" of ice and there was no chance of it getting itself out. Pulled it with the truck and finally rearranged the driveway enough to be able to park the truck, van and Spec-V without blocking any of them in.
Tonight after the kids are in bed I will clean up the water neck and paint it.
Been really debating machining a block to replace the oil filter mount and do a remote filter. I have access to a bridgeport mill now and it wouldn't be a huge project. But just the AN fitting and hoses add up quick, even if I make both the adapter and mount myself.
