Thread: quick tire question

ok so here is the deal I have my last race of the season in a couple of weeks and just got some new wheels with used tires on them and now i am left with a decision about which ones to use. the set I have been running is on toyo ra01 and the new set is on kumho v710.

I am currently tied for first for season points and wanted to know if someone has used both which one they liked better. both have about 50% life left

I haven't used them, but have heard good things about the v710s at the races.

Do you know history of the v710s? I've had tires heat cycled out with lots of tread left. That would be my main concern.

thats one reason why i am asking i have been using toyo's for a while and they work well if not better at the autox the more heat cycles they have

Swap tires then. Keep the 710s for practice or some other series.

It looks like the 710's were developed for autox so I think I will test them out and bring the others along if needed

Let me know what you think of the 710s. I'm thinking about possibly changing class and running them next year.

well i ended up letting a friend co-drive and we used his tires as payment so still not sure what tires are better but I will let you know next season
