Just go out and have fun! The beauty of Auto-X it can be as cheap as you want it to be. Don't worry about suspension and all that jazz, just go out and beat the ever living sh1t out of your car and put a smile on your face.

The seat time is going to make you faster than a suspension will your first few times.

If you want to get competitive you need to do some research and settle into a class and research what modifications are legal.

AGX is a decent strut for a street car, but honestly it doesn't compare to the quality and performance of a true strut.

Let us know how it goes!

I am not saying you have to go buy them to run. Like I've already said and Dan reiterated, just go out and run.

I am just saying if you ever get serious a $2k+ set of coilovers is worth more than most any other mod. Very few on here know what a good strut really is or feels like. Don't worry about it now because it won't do much for you till you can handle the car which should come with seat time.

So I went down to the auto -X and just observed for the day. It was really cool, met alot of cool guys, picked up a couple of tips, had a great time. Just a question one of the guys in the ef civics told me he runs the course in 1st and second gears only......Will that be a problem for our cars? My tranny does not go into first gear unless it is under 5mph. Other than that it just looks like I need some decent, Tires, decent suspension, and motor mounts and I will be set to go.

Most of the courses around here are "leave in 2nd gear". Last weekend I was using 4th in one spot and got into 3rd 5 times. I have yet to be on a course where I had to go down to 1st. There are some out there tho I know.

There is no reason you can't get it into 1st while moving at speed unless your transmission is trashed. You HAVE to rev match tho.

I could see why I was loosing my interest in cars before...it was because I maxed my limits out on the street....this brings a whole new interest in the automotive scene for me. From drag to auto-x who would have thought.

Same for me. AutoX is worse than crack IMO. The fact that the courses are always changing every weekend keeps it challenging. Makes it obvious who the better drivers are when they are consistently at the top.
