SR20DE - Where does this hose go?
Greetings SR20 forum!

Recently I've bought a 1993 SR20 from a N14 Sunny GTi and joined the "Bad Idle club". Navigating through the forum, I've found some amazing threads regarding the Idle control system and idle troubleshooting in general. These have helped me immensly and lead me to a "discovery" of a blocked hose (one end is not connected to anything). Unfortunately, I can only guess what this hose links to because the majority of the discussions that had photos about the IACV system simply don't appear to load anymore.

One end of the hose is positioned between the intake manifold and the throttle chamber's TPS sensor. Although I wouldn't take the chance, I believe this
imgur.com graphic indicates that it links to the AAC. Does anyone know if this is true or not?

Thanks!

I wonder if you're actually describing the transmission vent hose, which comes up by the throttle body, turns 180 degrees, and then points down but otherwise connects to nothing.

Do you have a picture of the hose in your engine bay that you can post?

And just in case you missed it, this thread could be useful: The ins and outs of the stock idle control system.

Thanks for the reply It doesn't seem like it's the Transmission Vent hose. https://imgur.com/a/EEXuI2c Just your regural straight "bendy" hose

It might lead to the EVAP Canister though - https://imgur.com/a/KIFQUu2

Regarding the article - it was super informative and helpful. One problem at a time tough, the engine runs rich and it screws with the idle - different topic though for another day.

It looks like the hose is going in the complete wrong direction from the charcoal canister, so probably not it. When the engine is running, if you unplug that hose, does it suck air in? Does the idle raise as well?

Yes it does! It sucks air in and the idle increases considerably, reaching almost 2000rpm.
