I have a feeling. You might want to put your flame suit on...

Haha. I just want the flex pipe. I'm sure it's nothing of great quality or anything.

i a have real clean (not sure which gen) HS header in my basement, but put the ebay one on since it looks a little bigger. That and also when the 2ndary goes, i dont wana have to switch it to the ebay in the end anyway. Another thing to note is I believe the HS headers were ceramic coated (at least whatever gen mine is appears to be). I remember back in the day i bought a brand new GA header from them in a group buy, but resold it because I was just a young buck with no real source of income. By the time i came back around to being able to mod the car, they were gone.

Yep thats true. The coating on my 12 year old Hotshot gen 3 was still holding up better than a 8 month old eBay header. Back in the day a big thing was shipping your header to a company called Swain Tech, they had a nice coating for the headers that really held up but it was costly. (I think it was white) I still can't believe I spent $800 on 2 hotshot headers back then and now you can buy almost 8 of them for the same price. Poor Hotshot, did all that R&D and got ripped. Oh well, I spent well over $1,000 with them. I did my part

Ssac is just a general term for ebay header these days

Right.. I just wasn't sure what you meant about saying there was an extra $40, wasn't sure which one you were referring to

So I installed the new eBay flex/down pipe earlier today and took some more comparison shots of the old and brand new one:

.
.
Here's the old, failing flex pipe:

.
New flex:

.
.
It's quite clear that with the newer eBay/SSAC headers (or whatever you call them) - the flex area has been shortened a bit.
.

.
It bolted right up to the old primaries. I was worried the bolt pattern would be a bit different but nope, all good. So I now have a brand new eBay primary if anyone wants it cheap.
