GA15DS Import distributor help needed
Sadly I am having a wee bit of bother with my new baby ..

It is a hard top nx coupe - Japanese import to Ireland 10 digit vin code .. so I am unable to use fast system on this ...
Also as this is not a euro model we don't have many models like this over here.. and the hard top is even rarer
While the reg plate says 92 I suspect this is a 1990 model

The motor came without a Distributor.
now heres the hard part .. knowing that the Carb version was not sold in the US,
The motor is a GA16DS with ecu. My issue is I suspect it is more akin to the one for the GA16DE but the connections do not marry

and the one for the carb only has extra connections that are not needed.

so my hope is that someone here has a similar motor or a Sentra is floating around with a similar Dizzy ..

any help at all is much appreciated.. all I really need is a part number to work with ..

not sure on US GA16DE dizzys but if you post up a picture of one will check it out .. need side view rather than front view

cheers in advance ..
Eoin

if this is in the wrong forum .. apologies in advance ..

Jen
here is a pic of the DS engine ..

my new baby is pretty much the same ..
exceptions being that it has an ECU .. hidden somewhere .. not behind the centre console
also has lambda on side of manifold .. but visually pretty much as you see ..

distributor in the pic is as you will no doubt notice much larger than the de model ..
this particular one has 2 connections on it

many thanks jen for your quick responses..

if you mean the floor area behind the centre console .. no ecu there..
am 99% sure there is one but have to find it yet.. have heard it is hidden away ..

but aside from this ..
question is on the Dizzy for my motor .. I reckon it is smaller than the one above..
- there is a protective guard on the end of this one covering the HT leads..
Cover is pretty much standard on the Carb model over here...

Am looking for a part number .. if anyone has a side view or picture of the electrical connections then that would be a superb help ..

dont have my camera to hand at the moment but will get some pics up soon ..

actually now that i think about it i just looked at my GA dizzy and it looks the same... only reason yours looks so big is because you have that cover on it... but mine only has one electrical connection to it

also im talking about the kick panel.. if you sit down in your driver seat its near your left foot. follow your running board and the kick panel snaps on top of that.. .. it has a ten mm bolt or nut holding it in

Yet since he's in Ireland with RHD it's possibly by the right foot?
Have you tried Nissan Forums? Might be a lot of info there - http://www.nissanforums.com/e-ca-series-ga16i-engines/
