I am really hoping that one of my bosses can make it up to the shop saturday to open it up for me. I have had this engine sitting around for too long. I'm a little nervous that something will go wrong with it. Its the first one I've actually built (put together myself). But I'm hoping for the best

It might turn into a 2 weekend thing at my shop. If I go up on saturday I gotta pull out the motor, install my new manual rack, switch over a couple of the newer parts from the old motor to the new motor (TC tensioner, a few vc studs) then pop everything back together and throw it in the car and hope that it starts up without blowing up or spewing forth any fluids.

well as long as the weather is good when I wake up tomorrow morning (they are calling for ice and snow ) I will be going in my shop at 8 to start the surgery.
Unfortunately I will only have a few hours tomorrow, then I will have to do the rest an hour here and there on weekdays after work, and then no more chance for access to the shop untill the monday after christmas weekend.

Weather held out long enough!

I only had 3 hours today though =( Got the motor out in about an hour and a half, replaced the old set of RM test springs I still had on the sentra with a finished set, switched over all the wiring and vacuum and coolant lines to the new motor.

All I have to do now is:
1. Put in the manual steering rack and remove all the PS crap.
2. put on the rear main seal, flywheel and clutch and then toss the trans on and throw her in.
3. Pray that it starts up and runs perfectly!

I have about a couple hours of work left to do to her.
I'm so excited hopefully this coming weekend I will be able to start her up. I just really hope everything is fine I am just starting to second guess like everything I did.
Is the headgasket installed properly, did I tighten this, did I do that....blah blah blah

pictures coming soon
