The cheap way to do it is to change one of the timing crystals, I think the details are on the other forum, it fools it to give you up to about 8K4 revs or there abouts, might be enough in the short term.

I'm not worried about changing the timing, I am just using my gears to tune the powerband into a more useable range.

He told you that becuase changing the cam timing changes the overall timing.

I know that, UK sri was talking about removing something to change the rev limiter. I am not worried about that.

i made 180whp on the same setup but with c3's and no timing change. i ran it to 9k but the power flatlined from 7200 on. i dont have a port and polish if i did i belive i would have made more power. the head has horrible flow. ill post the dyno up later.

I made 163WHP / 142TQ on S5, Maxima MAF, 333cc with 10:1 CR and no port and polish, with a torque semi-peak of 129 @ 3200 and peak 142 @ 5700 (but the torque falls down terribly after 6000rpm), probably from the base 25 degrees timing of the JWT ECU. WHP held above 160 between 6000 and 7500 rpm...

what cams? I only have a mild polish, and a race valve job on my head.

JWT S5, with one lobe on the intake damaged 0.015"....

I think I should re-adjust the cam gears for some more peak power...

Maybe the head jobs net you more power at a little torque sacrifice?

Also heat and humidity is quite ugly here

Setup is quite similar:

SR16VE Pistons 11.7:1 ||| CP 86.5mm Flat Top Forged Pistons 10.5:1
333cc ||| 333cc
DE MAF ||| Maxima MAF
Fidanza Fly ||| OEM Fly
Intake Spacers on ??? Ported / Polished Head ||| Intake Spacers on Low Port Head
AEM CAI ||| Homemade WAI
JWT ECU ||| JWT ECU
BC 3 w/S & R / JWT S5 w/S

I'm not worried about any head work. I'm fairly confident that once I have that ssac 2.5" header on, and my exhaust gear dialed in, I will be up above the 180 mark. I see your torque does drop off a bit, That is what I was surprised with on mine. That torque just gets up there and stays steady for a good bit of the powerband.

Your torque is going up nicely, but my torque builds up nastily on low/mid and stays for a while before leaving me helpless... Launching at 3500 rpm

I do a have a SSAC "2.5" header.... actually the secondary ends up in 2 1/3 FYG

You have 3 inch and I 2.5 inch catback, is that the HP+ / TQ- difference?
