I did not misunderstand you!
I think you misunderstood me.
Look guy a N1 head is shaved down which raises the compression.
So let me say it again.
A SR16VE head and SR20VE head have the same combustion chamber size. SR16VE n1 head has a smaller cumbustion chamber size as it has been shaved down.
Now if you have a completely stock SR20VE bottom end and you out a N1 head on it. Then your compression will be about 11.8 to 1.
Why does this happen. Well the compression diffrence between a SR16VE and SR16VE N1 is .9 point of compression. This is because the head is shaved but also the piston of a SR16VE N1 has a smaller dome. This has to be taken into consideration.
So that being said you got .9 diffrence from the change and less piston area.
I figure the piston diffrence from a N1 to SR16VE is .6
add the 2 together and thats 1.5
so the diffrence would be 10.3 add to that 1.5 and you got 11.8. to 1 compression.
