It ran it for 10min when i took the video then turned it off, then plugged the tps in and started it. So it would definitely would be a warm start. Guess ill know more when the parts arrive tomorrow

Hey dude,

Today I just went to collect my car from servicing. My mech told me I had a bad intake manifold gasket, he replaced it with brand new gasket and fresh glue.

Guess what, my car used to idle at 1500rpm now its perfect ! Theorically, if theres are leakage between the intake manifold and your engine head, your idling will sucks too, remember to check that gasket !

Thanks for the tip. But i have a band new gasket for upper and lower manifolds.

On a positive note. I installed the fuel pressure gauge. It read just a hair under 40 at idle. I installed a working o2. No change with the tps plugged in. It stalled out about 15 seconds after starting.

Unplugged its pretty good. After a 15min drive it idle very well at a near perfect 850rpm. No misses, nice and smooth. Drove good too. No hesitation at all. Not as peppy as it should be but good enough to daily for now.

Cold start is a little rough but not horrible.

After the drive

Don't forget to remove the vacuum line from the FPR when testing for 3-bar (43.5 psi) fuel pressure. (With the engine running?)

And then hook the line up again, and you should see something near 2.3-bar (33.35 psi) of fuel pressure while idling, right everyone?

That seems like what you're getting. So the fuel delivery system seems to check out. Especially since you said it runs relatively well now with the TPS unplugged.
If I had my FSM in front of me, I'd tell you what it suggests for a diagnosis path.

So disconnect fpr vacuum line to test for proper pump psi

Some updates:

The car has been idling much better for the first 3 days it idled high at about 1500 or so even after in was warmed up from a 25 minute ride home. Today it started to drop back down to 1k or so which is where i want it for now. Idle has been real smooth no missing that I can feel. It drives well. I am starting to feel some hesitation coming back but no where near where it was before.

TPS is still being a dick when plugged in. .62 is said to be high for closed so I dropped it down to .45 closed and 3.998 open. I read about testing resistance on the tps found here. http://www.sr20-forum.com/tuning/14165-tps-problem.html#post213838
Under the ohms setting I got nothing on the auto range setting I got .65/11kohm closed/open. That seems way off. Has anyone else done that test?

Injectors tested at 11.5 ohms +/- .3 across all 4.
Fuel pressure with fpr disconnected is the proper 3bar

Attempted to set timing. warmed up the car rev'd above 3k 3 times, and the tps was disconnected. I did this numerous times but the timing never stuck. the marks just kept going around and around. I may have a separated crank pulley?

any other tests or advice
