Thread: G20 P11 2000-2002 cam specs - Anyone have specs on these?

I'm changing engines in one of the G20's. Was wondering if anyone has cam specs on 2000/2001/2002 roller rocker cams? I thought they were all the same until I cracked my 2000 and 2002 and saw different color bands on the cams. I know the 00' - 01' rr sentra cams are different also.

No idea, FSM lists the same values for all three years.

I guess I'll start by measuring lift. I have 2000 and 2002 G20 cams and a 2000 Sentra SE engine sitting here also. I have looked up some info and they should all be:

130204M810 EX
130207J501 IN

But I remember reading some info awhile back where someone measured 00-01 B15 sentra cams being different. Now that I have seen different markings on the G20's I am starting to wonder.. Sometimes I wish I wasn't so curious, I would get a lot more work done

This is the cam info I found on the net along time ago. I wish I could remember where I found it.

ROLLER ROCKER CAMS
G20 2000-2002:
INTAKE - .370" (9.4) LIFT / 232º DUR - EXHAUST - .346" (8.8) LIFT / 240º DUR - OVERLAP - 8º

Sentra 2000:
INTAKE - .339" (8.6) LIFT / 240º DUR - EXHAUST - .362" (9.2) LIFT / 232º DUR - OVERLAP - 9º

Sentra 2001:
INTAKE - .370" (9.4) LIFT / 240º DUR - EXHAUST - .346" (8.8) LIFT / 232º DUR - OVERLAP - 9º

The only way to truly measure them is installed, in a cyl head, and rotating with a proper tool to take measurements of events to compare to FSM specs.
