I got lost as to which parts are on the car. Rather than sequences events, what is on the car now? I think @Boostlee said this but my eyes are tired.

^^^ This! I have no idea what's currently on the car!

Justin, in addition you also blidnly swapped power and ground wires and could have very easily fried the MAF in the process

Do you have a wideband?? Did you check for ECU codes??

It's almost impossible to diagnose a vehicle over the internet...............

What's this issue?
STOCK MAF AND INJECTORS

Car is running super rich..no idea why..If the brake booster hose is unplugged to let unmetered air leak slowly into the intake plenum the idle picks up and the car runs fine, but when that line is plugged back in the idle dies a bit and you can smell the fuel in the exhaust. I don't think the MAF is bad, could it be? or could there be an issue in the fuel system? I am confused and trying to figure this out so I can get the car running properly again so I don't destroy this beautiful new motor!

you may of damaged your ecu with all the fancy wire switching.

Check your fuel pressure. Unplug the MAF and see if it runs any better. My guess is that by switching the wires around on the MAF something is damaged. Verify the MAF wiring and install a different one.

Since it's pig rich, did you check to make sure you didn't end up with a fuel leak at one of the injector seals?

having codes pulled today as I cannot get down there to do it myself,

I am wondering that maybe one of the injectors could be leaking a bit from them being swapped out a couple times

CURRENT CODES:

P0100 - MAF Circuit Malfunction
P0170 - Fuel Trim Malfunction
P0335 - Crank Position Sensor
P0110 - IAT Circuit Malfunction
P0130 - O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (upstream)

I am wondering..could the O2 sensor have gone bad causing the motor to not know what was coming out of the engine and therefore not knowing what to put in? Crank Sensor and IAT codes were in there before so I am not sure if they are 100% related to this or not..other 3 are new ones for me since motor was installed.
