Alright guys, update time. I wired the fans to run all the time, and put the stock radiator in. I didn't really test it much, just went to the track and raced. Didn't overflow at all until after the main event. ran the last 10 laps wide open in 2nd never even letting off. 6500-7400 rpm all the way around. Took 2nd, leader had a straightaway lead which I closed and would have passed another lap or 2. There is no heater core in the car, I just looped the hoses for that. I didn't have the block finished at all, just the head. After the main it was steaming a little, appears the radiator might be leaking around the top of the plastic where they are squeezed together. Car ran awesome, had 2nd fast time, won the trophy dash and my heat. Both fans running all the time seeme to make the diff. Not sure but I would guess that it would still boil over at idle maybe after awhile. I also was running rcing gas and timed it up to about 22. My exhaust was glowing pretty red, but pretty sure that was the 10 laps of never letting off at all. I am racing again tonight, I still plan on doing the leak down just to be sure. I had the gutted thermo in it as well.
I am the black and red # 7c check it out

Went racing tonight and I added some water wetter and no overheating anymore it appears. Bad news though, at the end of the that main it was making a funny noise I thought was a lifter. Turns out I believe I might have broke the flywheel. Car acted like it had popped out of gear, then it wouldn't go back into gear. When I killed it the starter just zinged. and when i put it in gear it just rolled like it wasnt

FYI blowing a headgasket on an N/A SR20DE is *exceptionally* rare - for you to blow TWO in that time period tells me there is something seriously wrong with your cooling system.

Have you thought of an oil cooler? Pretty easy to install and you can get one from Advanced Auto for like $140.... at least keeps temps down 10-15 degrees.

Dude that looks fun as hell. What are the rules? Could you run what ever engine you want?

All my ve motor have run cold so a nice 200hp ve would rip on the straights and not cost much to make.
