lack of power
My current setup is a DE motor with jwt S4 cams, ssac 2.5, and intake. Everything else is stock I have a huge loss of power between 4-5rpms.

The car has power from 1-3,000 rpms then again at 5500 rpms it picks back up again. This is my second motor and my first motor never felt this way when it was N/A.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Its called the factory tune, they all do it. Get a programmable ecu like the Nismotronic NEMU and it will go away with some tuning.

I changed the maf sensor and it helped a ton. Thanks

Ive heard it was common but this was real bad. I believe a 3 cyl Geo metro could have beaten me in a race it was so bad. Changing the maf sensor cleared it up

you have the stock exhaust then?

I ran a 15.4 @ 88 in my 98 Sentra SE back like 14 years ago with just a header and intake. stock exhaust. adding the S4 cams put me into the high 14's but it really opened up when I finally got a 2.5" catback. back then I was more interested in suspension ugrades so I didn't do much else than that. that was the strongest lowport DE I had ever owned, but being that long ago I only had like 40k on it.

Yeah I'm using the stock exhaust. My car def would not run 15.4, its more like 17.4 with the way its runs. Changing the maf out helped some but I notice the issue is still there.
