point taken but if you have a perfectly functional DE, swapping cams and ECU simply isn't going to be as labor intensive as an engine swap (plus replacement VEs aren't as readily available if you something goes wrong like you miss a shift at the track (which has happened to my husband before with our former stock sr20de p10 btw)
..Bottom line is one of the reasons we went with Nissan/Infiniti SR20 power for a track rat is cheap replacement engines if needed.. VE power not only ups that 'replacement cost' significantly but changes the classification and I question the competition ability a VE powered dyno reclass would put you into to be perfectly honest.
