With bolt-ons I was at 167whp. Im sure if I had a chance to get the car on the track it would have pulled a very low 14. My goal was to crack a 13.99 but the car was stolen and and my next ser got a VE. I do l9ve my VE but if I had funds id would do a nice DE build. With a goal of 220whp

S4s+88mm+12.5:1cr+fidanza+custom header+3inch exhaust. Few other goodies would be a fun car.

Ran 14.5 in a B14 with Bc2's, pullies, little weight reduction( just seats),
Jwt ecu full exhaust......So with a proper tune it would have been 13.9-14.2 car easy. couple more goodies it will be down to close to mid 13's easy.

S4 or S4HL are great. Much better than BC stg2.

Do s3hl's or s4hls they're (higher lift) cams. No spring or retainers required but recommended

Running S4's in my daily right here. I'm right around 160whp, plenty of power for the street and track. Also, if you plan to go turbo later on (like me), S4's are a great turbo cam.

On slicks? mid 13's on a DE with just the basic bolt ons is not going to be easy, and getting that time of 14.5 down to 14.0 is going to require more power, and a 13.5.. don't think it will happen, at least with a DE. Sorry Slicks and gutting the heck out of that thing will help though. Most bolt-on VE's run low to mid 13's and remember that's starting right off the bat with 50 more HP from the motor itself before anything is even touched modification wise.... best of luck though

One local guy did 13.9sec. with 170hp (aprox. 150whp). Car weights 900kg, 13" avon road legal slicks. Engine highport DE, intake filter, ssac mani, 60mm exhaust, BC stg2 cams, nistune with base map.
