No, the pressure plate bolts are the wrong thread. Went to Home Depot and got some grade 8 5/16" - 18x5/8" bolts and lock washers that look like they will work perfect. But now the pilot bushing won't fit either. Are you supposed to pull out the ring that is in the end of the crankshaft out when converting from auto to manual?

Yes, you must remove that ring to install the pilot bearing.

You neee to get your hands on a blind hole puller. I prefer the kind with a slide hammer. Autozone rents them.

Once you remove that ring the pilot bearing goes right in
