Thread: Best light weight flywheel for the least amount of money?

I am about to but one of those clutch kits.... looks like a good deal for the throwout bearing and flywheel. The clutch and pressure plate...... I 'uno..... Probably not.

Just got my kit today for the exedy clutch and lightweight flywheel and it looks like a solid kit. Let see how she performs. The fly was at 11lbs and the Pp looks like it's going to be a nice firm pedal. The Pp isn't as heavy as others so it might be good for less rotational drag

Cool let us know. I may order mine shortly after I get the 5-speed trans from the salvage yard and start getting my core charges back plus the recycling money for the Auto trans out of my car.

i must say its a solid flywheel but it will be worth buying the exedy clutch with it for 100 more. like where can you get a reliable clutch for 100 bucks? thats almost unheard of

Not really a decent option. Weighed mine when I had it and was 16.xx lbs compared to 18.6lbs for sr18/20de. Wouldn't waste money buying sr16ve flywheel. Would be easier to machine the sr18/20 one to 13-14lbs. If I am doing a project and cant afford lightened flywheel and getting sr16ve one for free, yes.

I upgraded from sr16ve to Fidanza 5 years now. Car sold but still no issues.

Clutch/Flywheel kit ordered!

So, the OEM pressure plate bolts do not fit with this flywheel. Anyone else have this issue?
