No I wouldn't, that's why I'm for every other year safety inspections. But there's no reason why a brand new car with 6 miles on it needs to be inspected in 10 months from date of purchase. My friend's new 2013 Civic isn't due until 2017. That's more like it. I think the answer is somewhere in between
