Thread: SR20 swap mounts and bracket needed?

Though I've read numerous post on swaps, I'm still unclear as to which exact mounts and brackets are interchangeable between GA and SR motors, and i'm sure others may have this same problem.

In this case, I'm upgrading from a GA16DE manual to SR20VE manual.

Also, can we post some photos of these mounts and brackets so that when buying, one can know what exactly to look for or what to make reference with? Thanks

front(dogbone) and rear(crossmember) work
passenger,and driver(tranny) will not ....even though the tranny LOOKS like it will,it is different.

The bracket that comes on the sr20ve is for a big mount [RH side]. You can use that mount and probably modify your bracket on the chassis of car to fit that mount. That is the big mount that comes on bluebird etc. What I would do though is get a gts/se-r engine bracket and use a gts/ser RH side mount. They are smaller and will fit in the bracket on chassis of your car.

The gear box [LH side] should be easy to find. It is identified by 'BX'. BY is Auto, wont work. You will need a gearbox bracket identified by 'M' to work with it. Check to see what is marked on bracket of your car seeing it's already manual.

Your existing straight member with brackets and mounts should work.

Sometimes the info you need is right under your nose, but for some reason you are just 'foreign minded'!

Hey would this work alao for a B12 SR20 swap that it has a GA16(i) ?? Cause im about to start a B12 .. But im still researching hehee ..
