So it is or it isn't? These two statements, only hours apart, seem conflicting to me unless I am misunderstood your replies.

True, and even if his timing is off a bit it still should start up.. It sounds like theres no compression bc valves are bent. IDK

since im assuming you had to swap over the det ecu or had yours tuned for a det.... check the harness to the ecu. sometimes it seems like its cranked down all the way but it isnt. it will still give fuel when you put the car into on position, but wont start. happened to me once swapping ecu's. ecu told me it was the ignition module which it wasnt... it was because i didnt tighten it down all the way to the harness.

since you already mucked with your cam timing, you might as well be 100% sure it is correct. dont guess, be sure.

Update,it was one tooth off the intake cam, sorted that, crank is on second mark from the left, dizzy set right in the middle with rotor to number one spark plug ht lead.

Comparing the picture in the after to the picture you took on 3/28, I see no difference besides the angle. I see 9 complete links and two halves on each end before the dimple/dot on the cam gear. I see 20 rollers in the chain from each dimple/dot on each cam gear so what changed?

I am seeing no difference but you are reporting a difference, I think?

Yeah it was out one link on the intake cam sprocket,i put it right, then took this pic,the first pic is not clear to see !

So you reckon the cam timing is set correct looking at that then ?

I am not going to answer your question because I don't know for sure.

Take my picture, compare it to yours in all the reference points. I don't see a difference in any pictures from all the reference points so I don't understand the problem, nor how someone suggested the intake cam was off one tooth. No doubt you are having troubles, but I don't see it. Maybe I am blind. At least I took the time to compare and investigate.
